Aptum Announces Definitive Agreement to Sell Canadian Colocation Business to eStruxture
Sale Reinforces Core Focus on Growth in Hybrid Multi-Cloud Managed Services, Supporting Canada’s Accelerated Transition to the Cloud
TORONTO, ON – March 30, 2021 – Aptum, a global hybrid multi-cloud managed service provider, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Canadian colocation business to eStruxture. The transaction remains subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions, but is expected to close during the second quarter of 2021, with a full carve-out of the Canadian colocation business.
The transaction will free resources to accelerate Aptum’s continued implementation of its core hybrid multi-cloud managed service offerings, which enable its customers to drive cloud adoption, modernize data infrastructure, and build compliant, resilient platforms including bare metal, high performance, private and public cloud solutions.
“We are excited to complete the sale of our Canadian colocation business. Today’s announcement showcases our commitment to grow and enhance our global hybrid multi-cloud managed services offering both off and on premises,” said Susan Bowen, President and CEO of Aptum Technologies. “This focused approach has helped us grow our customer base, as the onset of the global pandemic accelerated enterprise cloud adoption.”
As part of this digital transformation, over the past year, Aptum has launched multiple solutions for its hybrid multi-cloud customers including a Managed Detection and Response security offering in partnership with Alert Logic; Managed Disaster Recovery as a Service; and a Managed DevOps Service, in partnership with CloudOps, that simplifies building and running a cloud operations team.
The company continues to focus on and grow its managed and professional services practices. Recent new customers include organizations in the financial, insurance and ecommerce sectors seeking PCI-compliant, workflow-optimized and managed solutions including both private and public cloud workload management.
Aptum will remain a Network Services Provider to eStruxture and customers across all the Canadian facilities providing 100G, monitored and managed network services.
This transaction does not include or impact Aptum’s data centers in the United States or the United Kingdom.
